Restarter programs provide a bridge back to corporate roles for experienced women professionals who have taken a career break.

These on-the-job training and returnee internship programs are to attract, evaluate and hire an untapped talent pool of professionals on career breaks. It has proven to have several benefits for the employers as well as the returning professionals.

 

What is a Returnee Program?

Several Organizations have a structured Returnee/ Restarter/ Career Re-entry Programs. The returnee is a paid short-term employment contract, with the possibility of a permanent role at the end of the program. As a participant, you will work on a live project based on your skills, interests, and prior experience. Often, training and mentoring support will be provided, together with access to internal networks & mentors. You can use a returnee program to update your skills and ease yourself back into the workforce.

Organizations understand the importance of bringing women back to the workforce and encourage equal participation at all levels. Many have launched dedicated returnee programs to achieve this.
