The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years in a preschool/nursery or a day care setup.
It also acts as a qualifying course to get a diploma in early years educator. Aspiring individuals who wants to setup their own home based day care/ pre-school can also use this course as a first step followed by an add-on course on preparing to work in home-based child care.

Entry Requirements:


Learners must be at least 16 years old with high-school degree. All classroom sessions will be conducted in English language, learners should be able to understand and follow-up in English.

Prerequisite:


Must have completed the Introduction to Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) course/workshop.
Note: Novak offers EYFS workshops. It can be taken individually or will be included in the course.

Experience in workplace Requirement:


This is a work based qualification covering knowledge and skills. Learners will need to be working, volunteering or on an internship placement as an important part of the assessment process involves evaluating skills in real working situations.
Note: if you are not currently working or volunteering, talk to us about our internship placement help.

Duration:


8 to 12 months (Classroom + Self learning + Work-based)
Class room sessions will be bi-weekly, half-days during weekends. Class rooms will be across Bengaluru based on registration; learner can pick the one closer to home.

Qualification Structure:


A total of 18 units are structured around the following four themes:
Theme 1: Introducing the role of the early years practitioner
Theme 2: Legislation, framework and professional practice
Theme 3: Play, development and learning for school readiness
Theme 4: Professional development

Assessments:


Internal assessments using a range of methods, including direct observation within the workplace, written assignments or a task during the classroom session.

Payment Schedule:


Paid in two installments, one during registration and other during mid-term of the course

Payment Methods:


Cheque, Cash, Net Banking

You Achieve:


Certificate of qualification from CACHE, UK that is internationally recognized
Ability to handle young children with full confidence
Knowledge and happiness in helping aid young children grow into responsible adults
